A selection of tools I may use on an engagement
- Personas. These help to identify the key roles in the change process, and represent them as real people.
- Journey maps. Change is hard, so having signposts along the way can help people to move forward.
- Readiness assessments. Before we start any process, we need to check that everyone is on board with the change.
- Change impact assessment. Who and what will be affected by the changes we are making?
- Pulse checks. As we work through the process, we need to check that everyone is still happy with how it’s going, and check for pain points.
- Communication plan. As we roll out the change process, communication with stakeholders and staff is crucial to success.
- Training needs assessment. Staff may be using new systems and processes, so we need to identify who needs training, and what training they need.
- Training plan. The training needs to be scheduled and planned.
- Training materials. The training needs engaging and effective materials.
- Presentations and communications. All the communications need to be visually engaging and clear.
